Al Ain American School (مدرسة العين الامريكيه)

The school is not supportive. The senior leadership are nice to faces but behind closed doors they are a whole different person. They expect too much from the teachers and discriminate staff members throughout the school. Health and safety is another issue at the school. During examinations, the school also cheats and gets students to help so they achieve a high mark. Report cards don't provide an accurate reflection of the teacher. The senior team goes against teachers and have even terminated staff members who filed reports to Adek or Labor, yet the senior team insists it is based on teachers performances. The staff are threatened with termination also and staff are even terminated without a verbal or written warning. Support staff are overworked and expected to work on Sundays also. They travelled on a bus with no working AC and the principal declined the request to repair the AC. The school has AC installed in the corridors, however they do not work and it becomes too hot for students and staff. Some of the people who reviewed the school and give five stars are teachers that work at the school. The extra curricular activities were only provided for a few weeks. They did not operate in term 2 or term 3. The school also has playing frames on the playground, however they have all been blocked off and students are not allowed to play on them. Students cannot play football or run around. They are expected to do what the school allows only. The school also has very bad damage during storms but staff were still expected to attend school.

We had such a bad experience from this school. My son was in this school and was suffering but no one cared at all. As a parent, its really disappointing to have my son feel like he isn't enough and get bullied with no one helping him. Nobody cares about anything. Never come to this school
