I had a very frustrating experience trying to have my staples removed. I called King’s CS and was instructed to go to the ED. I spent an hour traveling there, only to be told they could not remove my staples and that I would need a surgeon. On top of that, I was asked to pay consultation fees just for having my dressing changed, which makes no sense. Afterward, I was sent to King’s Marina. An irresponsible receptionist directed me to another branch near Spinney’s without even checking my name or phone number. When I arrived, I was told my surgeon was in a different building. This hospital clearly lacks organization and staff training. The only thing they seem proactive about is ensuring patients pay consultation fees. I ended up paying multiple consultation fees for basic post-surgery care: • At Dubai Hills ED, the doctor did nothing but still charged consultation fees. • For dressing changes with the surgeon, I was charged consultation fees. • For follow-up appointments with my surgeon, I was charged consultation fees. • Even for staple removal, I had to pay consultation fees. At no point did anyone take responsibility for following up or providing coordinated care. There are many reputable clinics in Dubai. I strongly advise thinking twice before choosing King’s college’s clinics, as my experience significantly increased my anxiety. I had to visit four different branches eight times after surgery, yet very little was resolved regarding the two issues I had.

Dr. Tetyana is an excellent family medicine doctor—professional, attentive, and very knowledgeable. She takes time to listen, explains medical issues clearly, and makes you feel comfortable and well cared for. I truly appreciate her thoughtful approach and highly recommend her.

I’m sharing this review in the hope it helps improve patient care, particularly for women presenting with chronic pelvic pain. I was previously seen by Dr Lina Skutaite regarding severe and debilitating menstrual pain. During this consultation, I raised concerns about endometriosis and was informed that I had been "tested" for it via hormone blood tests and did not have the condition. My symptoms were dismissed as being "unlucky with periods," and I was not referred for further investigation or to a specialist. I now know that hormone tests do not rule out endometriosis. After continuing to experience years of debilitating pain, I eventually underwent laparoscopy and excision surgery at Medcare Women & Children Hospital with Dr Charles Rafael, where both endometriosis and adenomyosis were confirmed very quickly via ultrasound and MRI scans. These are complex and specialist conditions, and I fully understand that not all gynecologists sub-specialise in them. However, I believe patients should be referred onward rather than dismissed. Being told that nothing was wrong contributed to years of self-doubt, disabling pain and delayed treatment. I hope this feedback encourages greater awareness of endometriosis and adenomyosis and clearer referral pathways so that other patients do not experience similar delays in diagnosis and care.

I have to raise this. Several staff members had really bad body odor during my visit. Not a small thing, it was genuinely hard to be around. I told the head nurse about it and they said they’d call infection control and the cleaners. That’s not the problem though. The place itself is clean. The staff just need to shower before coming to work. It’s awkward to mention but this is a hospital. Basic hygiene should be standard, especially when you’re caring for patients. Hope they address it properly instead of just sending in the cleaning crew.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
