Ahalia Hospital Mussafah

Very poorly Managed Hospital. Paediatric and Gynaecology departments have only 1 or 2 nurses. Assessment room is mostly empty since one nurse is supporting multiple doctors, for scanning and have to do Assessment. Doctors doesnt have basic equipments in their room and is forced to use single equipment in a shared room with other doctors. Long queues everywhere, for Assessment, for consulting doctor, then separately for doctors inspection, then for lab and other scanning and pharmacy. Very pregnant ladies and small kids are forced to spend 4-5 hours every visit. Pharmacy wait time can easily go up to 2-4 hours. And I have caught the staff helping preferred patients jump the queue as well. If possible get doctor's stamp on the prescription and take it to outside pharmacy. Hospital is critically understaffed all the time. Looks like a clear case of hospital profiteering at the cost of patients' time and health.

I am writing to formally report an incident involving the receptionist assigned yesterday at approximately 5:15 pm in Clinic 5 (cardiac/pulmonary department), named SAJITH (indian nationality). My husband, who is the patient, visited the clinic for his schedulef consultation. The receptionist, SAJITH, instructed us to proceed to Buidling 2, stating that the doctor was available there. However, upon reaching Building 2, the receptionist informed us that the doctor was not there anf advised us to return to Clinic 5, as the doctor would be available in Building 1 after 5 pm. When my husband approached SAJITH again to clarify the confusion l, instead of assisting us professionally, he responded in a sarcastic abd disrespectful manner. He raised his voice, shouted, and pointed his finger aggressively while telling us to go to a specific room, stating that the doctor was there. This behavior was extremely inappropriate and distressing, especially considering that my husband is a cardiac patient. Such rude and confrontational conduct can cause unnecessary stress and potential aggravate a patient's medical condition. Patients are visiting a cardiac department are already in a vulnerable state and should be treated with patience, empathy, and professionalism. I strongly believe this matter requires serious attention. No patient or family member should be subjected to this kind of treatment while seeking medical care. I respectfully request that appropriate diaciplinary action be taken and that necessary measures are implimented to prevent similar incidents in the future.
